A beautifully painted porcelain plaque bearing the K.P.M stamp to reverse, with scepter mark, and letter "W"
The scene emblematic of Avarice being depicted as a horseman pursuing Fortune, being closely followed closely by the figure of Death. A young maiden lays under the horse's hooves at the right of the bridge.
Signed on front, lower right: R. Dittrich
Framed in a nicely carved wood frame. Plaque size 11" x 18", framed size 16.5" x 24.25"
Framed with a wooden protective backing with window holes for viewing the plaque name and impressed K.P.M. marks
Acquired: Antiques by Lilliane, KC, 1979
Property from a prominent St. Louis estate.
