Antique French Display Cabinet made of Carpathian Elm Burlwood
Carpathian Elm burlwood is a rare wood grown in Central Europe and used sparingly in fine furniture 150 years ago. This piece has two doors with heavy bevelled glass and shelves. Inlaid design with heavy ormolu trim. Said to be from the Paris Estate of Madame Marie Curie. Acquired: Teasel Galleries, Dallas Texas, 1975.
