Chinese Ming Bronze of a Daoist Figure
Gilt lacquered and polychrome painted standing figure having distinguished beard, wearing an elaborate robe decorated with foliate and cloud borders, his hands clasped to the front, holding a Hu tablet, on a lotus flower and stylized base. 24 7/8 inches

Provenance: Appraised in 1973 by Albert W. R. Thiel, Los Angeles, California, as 15th century.
