Description:

Continental Late 18th Century Amstel Tea Bowl, Circa 1765
produced at the Werp factory near Amsterdam, featuring a hand painted village scene with fishermen and a church steeple in the distance, featuring a gilt sawtooth decorated rim and gilt band to foot, fracture visible to one side of the bowl. Diameter 8 1/2 inches

Other Notes: Porcelain factory established at Werp, 1764, closed 1771. Transferred to Oude Lousdrecht, 1772; removed to Oude Amstel near Amsterdam, Holland in 1784. Closed in 1810. A rare piece.

  • Condition: Overall good condition to painted and gilt surface. Fracture is an old repair.
