A nicely detailed 19th Century Meissen 4 figure group, The Seller of Hearts. The elaborate and well detailed porcelain figural group depicting court life, after the 1738 model by J.J. Kaendler. The queen, in ermine-trimmed robe, receives a gilded heart from a gallant while two attendants look on holding boxes and trays. On an elongated, applied flower strewn base. Underglaze blue crossed swords marks, incised No. 100 and gold painted number 54; 8.25" high x 9.5" long.

  • Condition: Old restoration across width of base with an associated hairline crack visible to the base top; repainting and possible restoration to gilt highlights of the man's sleeve; restoration to the black strap across the young lady's neck.
