Meissen, a Large and Magnificent 19th Century Porcelain "Pagoda" Nodding Figure, Blue Cross Sword Mark, Model #2884
One of the largest of the Meissen nodding "Pagoda" figures, featuring a well articulated seated figure with a wagging tongue and hand movement. Beautifully painted with a robe of floral design, gilt fishnet undergarment top and a gilt highlighted collar with a pink bow. The cross legged figure wearing light blue heeled shoes.

Head: The heavily weighted head with a broad smile and finely painted knot tied hair, incised mark to back of head "73". From tip of hair to base of the metal weight is 11.5", 2.88 pounds. Tongue mechanism in good working condition. Noting very small firing cracks near nose area and one ear. Minor scuff to 1 ear.

Body: Marked on base with Blue Meissen Cross Sword Mark, incised model number 2884
Good, long functioning hand movement. Very nice condition, noting small blemish to pink collar ribbon. Total weight with head is 15.84 pounds. Total height 13", width 13"
