Working primarily with furnace blown glass since the mid-late 1980's, the artist holds a BFA (studio art 1990), from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. In 1997, Cray founded and built Snake Ranch Studio, a full-time glass studio, located in the wooded hills of New Melle, Missouri.
